The session will present some key results from the DIGICHer project, focusing on its recommendations, implementation strategies and guidelines. It will show that responsible digitisation of minority and Indigenous cultural heritage requires coordinated action by policy makers, cultural heritage institutions and communities. The DIGICher recommendations and guidelines provide an integrated framework for embedding inclusive participation, ethical governance, responsible access and reuse, and long-term stewardship throughout the digitisation lifecycle. Together, they support more equitable, inclusive and sustainable approaches to cultural heritage digitisation.
