Celebrating Progress and Collaboration: DIGICHer Partners Meet in The Hague

On March 24–25, 2026, DIGICHer project partners gathered at the KB, National Library of the Netherlands in The Hague, for two days of inspiration and hard work. As the project enters its final year, this meeting was a vital opportunity to align our efforts and ensure the long-term impact of our work.

Building a Framework for Change

The atmosphere in The Hague was dynamic and productive. Our discussions focused on several key pillars of the project:

  • Community-Centered Digitisation: We reviewed the progress of our digitisation framework, which keeps the communities themselves at the heart of the process.

  • Tools for the Future: Partners explored the development of the Heritage Monitor, alongside DIGICHer’s monitoring instruments and decision-support tools designed to help institutions navigate the digital landscape.

  • Policy & Sustainability: We focused on crafting actionable recommendations for policymakers and ensuring that the project's results remain sustainable long after the funding concludes.

  • Maximizing Impact: From communication strategies to increasing visibility, we brainstormed ways to ensure our findings reach the people and institutions that need them most.

The Road Ahead

Funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe programme, DIGICHer is dedicated to bridging the gap in how minoritised heritage is represented. The strength of our consortium lies in our diversity and our shared commitment to social inclusion through technology.

As we head into this final year, we are more energized than ever to ensure that Europe’s diverse cultural tapestry is preserved and celebrated for generations to come.
